It's Spring! Don't be left out

Today the temperature in NYC hit 67 degrees. This is the first sunny day above 60 degrees we have seen. A phenomenon in NYC occurs ech year on this day in which the cities residents celebrate the TRUE coming of spring by wearing their brand new and considerably less bulky new fashions. Although this occurs more in women than in men, the men partake in the ritual by twisting there heads around in a rapid motion.

I have yet to see any open toed shoes today, the tell tale-no turning back signature of spring. I must confess I have been above 34th st all day. I am sure we have all the toes out in union square.

I want to end on a sad note. As all the short bright colored tops and denim mini skirts pass by I can't help but notice the young women still wearing their knee length blach down jackets with the fir on the hood. Did they not get the memo? Hello?

Check out the streets.

This was always my favorite day of spring. I particulary loved the first warm day at NYU, as in addition to the less bulky clothes, the women would seem to forget to wear bras on such occasion.

The real fun starts when it gets cold again and they decide to keep wearing the spring clothes regardless of the temp.
